Job description
The Procurement Specialist at COMEM Group plays a key role in coordinating purchasing activities and managing supplier relationships, actively supporting value chain improvement and operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and optimizing the purchasing process:
Analyzing internal needs, issuing purchase requests, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring timely procurement of materials, components, and services aligned with production requirements.
- Sourcing, evaluating, and qualifying suppliers:
Selecting reliable partners, negotiating advantageous terms, and continuously monitoring performance, quality, pricing, and service levels.
- Supporting supply chain planning:
Collaborating with Production, Planning, and Logistics to align demand, production capacity, and material availability, minimizing risks and inefficiencies.
- Managing and monitoring procurement parameters:
Continuously verifying lead times, safety stocks, commercial conditions, and procurement KPIs, while proposing corrective and improvement actions.
- Collaborating and communicating:
Interfacing with various departments and acting as a liaison between those in direct contact with customers and those working on product quality and technical aspects.
Requirements
Education
- Degree in technical or scientific disciplines.
Professional Experience
- Previous experience, even short-term, in procurement, supply chain, or industrial scheduling roles within structured manufacturing environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes in the metalworking industry will be considered an advantage.
Technical Skills
- Good command of ERP and MRP systems (knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 will be considered a plus).
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- English proficiency.
- Familiarity with production KPIs and industrial procurement principles.
