General Accounting & Consolidation Specialist

Mission

Ensure the accuracy, transparency, and full compliance of the company’s accounting and financial information, effectively supporting both day-to-day operational activities and the COMEM Group’s strategic vision.

Role description:

The General Accounting & Consolidation Specialist is responsible for the timely and accurate management of accounting operations and for supporting the group’s financial consolidation processes.

The role ensures compliance with applicable accounting standards (OIC and IFRS), the accuracy of periodic financial closings, and full transparency of financial information, working closely with auditors, external consultants, and internal teams.

As part of the AFC (Administration, Finance, and Controlling) team, the position requires strong analytical skills, a high level of attention to detail, and a proactive approach to the continuous improvement of administrative and accounting processes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Management of accounting entries and reconciliations (customers, suppliers, banks)
  • Monthly, quarterly, and annual management closings in accordance with OIC and IFRS accounting principles
  • Preparation of statutory financial statements and support in the preparation of consolidated financial statements
  • Management of intercompany transactions and reconciliations among group companies
  • Collaboration with auditors and external consultants for audit and tax compliance activities
  • Participation in accounting process improvement projects and ERP system implementation

Requirements

Education:

Degree in Economics, Business Administration, or scientific disciplines.

Professional experience:

Proven experience in similar roles within structured companies, consulting firms, or audit firms.

Technical skills:

  • Solid knowledge of Italian accounting standards (OIC) and international accounting standards (IFRS)
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Excel and major ERP systems (knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 is considered a plus)
  • Good command of English (B2 level), both written and spoken
  • Proficient use of the Microsoft Office suite

Soft skills:
